Lately people are talking about the always more developed use of technique for the survey of the strengths produced from the rowers during their strokes. In one word a kind of telemetry of “ human engine” . We have always believed the necessity of an instrument able to get data in the best way. Having information about the strengths produced by rowers improves not only the possibilities of studying new shapes but it puts at disposal a series of information about physic condition of the athlete, his ability of transforming energy spent during the push an so on. In few words It’s a big resource for those coaches who want to deep the knowledges of their rowers.
But the first thing is to understand the meaning of the diagrams that all the instruments more or less sharply show. During the meetings among the coaches really came out the lack of a link between the rowing world and scientific one. It would be nice that each Rowing national Centre arranged an updating course where it would be possible to evaluate merits and defects of the most interesting instrument on the market…
