Filippi Quality: more accessible than ever.
CORE delivers the signature Filippi feel: clean feedback, dependable performance, and no compromises where it matters. It’s our most approachable configuration, with a core that remains unmistakably Filippi.
CORE was created to make the Filippi experience more accessible for clubs, rowing schools, and programmes looking for a boat that’s reliable, long-lasting, and competitive—at a more advantageous price point.
It’s our entry-level configuration: easy to manage and maintain over time, yet built with Filippi shapes, craftsmanship, and on-water feel true to the Filippi DNA. Whether you’re building a fleet to support athlete development or looking for a dependable boat made to stand up to years of use, CORE strikes the right balance between real-world performance and durability.
The lay-up
The CORE configuration features a lay-up designed to better withstand the day-to-day use typical of clubs:
This combination improves material durability and long-term stability—especially when dealing with small scratches and everyday wear. Thanks to its cut-resistant properties, the inner Kevlar makes the hull more “forgiving” in the event of accidental impacts: it’s less likely to crack or split, which typically means simpler, faster repairs. CORE also retains Filippi’s construction logic: it uses the same reinforcement areas found on higher configurations, with a clear focus on service life. CORE features a flat decking geometry—an approach that supports:
It’s a solution designed to be a dependable platform, aligned with the goal: last longer, simplify ownership, and stay performance-ready.
Rigger
The CORE rigger is built from 6000-series aluminium alloy, engineered to deliver a practical balance of stiffness, robustness, and cost. The wing rigger with backstay is available for sweep boats; for sculling boats, both the wing rigger with backstay and the Aliante rigger are available. Construction details:
Seat & rails
CORE boats feature a standard seat system designed for straightforward, real-world use:
Foot stretcher & shoes
The stiffness you need in an extremely slim design that also integrates the keel attachment—this is the result of our design approach and the exclusive use of carbon fibre for the CORE foot stretcher.
