19-21 May 2024, Lucerne (SUI)
The Final Olympic & Paralympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne, held from May 19 to 21, 2024, marked the last opportunity for athletes to secure their spots for the Paris 2024 Olympics. In this highly competitive event, 27 out of the 37 available qualifications were won by crews using Filippi boats. Notably, 22 Olympic class boats from countries such as Italy, the USA, Denmark, France, Estonia, New Zealand, Greece, Lithuania, Ireland, Serbia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, and Romania achieved their dream of qualification. Additionally, five para-rowing boats from Italy, Brazil, France, Israel, and Uzbekistan secured their tickets to Paris, showcasing the dominance of Filippi in both Olympic and Paralympic categories.
Filippi's success was particularly highlighted in several thrilling races. Italy's women's eight secured a historic qualification, their first-ever for the Olympic Games, while the men's eight narrowly clinched their spot by just one hundredth of a second. Denmark's women's eight, racing in the popular F42 boat, also achieved qualification with a narrow margin of nineteen hundredths of a second. The women's double sculls from the Czech Republic and Great Britain, as well as lightweight doubles from France and Greece, and several other crews, earned their places in Paris, further cementing Filippi's reputation.
