The 2024 World Rowing Championships, held in St. Catharines, Canada, marked an exceptional display of skill, endurance, and excellence across the Under 19, Under 23, and Senior categories. Athletes rowing in Filippi boats achieved outstanding results, demonstrating the superior performance and craftsmanship of our hulls.

The championships began with a record-breaking performance by Italian sculler Niels Torre in the lightweight men’s single. Rowing in a Filippi F15, Torre set a new world best time of 6:39.56, setting the tone for the week. Filippi boats dominated the opening day, winning 23 out of 36 heats. The women's eight heats were particularly intense, with the USA and Australia crews, both in Filippi F42 boats, crossing the finish line simultaneously, with the USA narrowly taking the win after a photofinish.

As the Under 19 category kicked off on Day 4, Filippi boats continued to excel, securing victories in 10 out of 19 heats. Teams from Italy, Greece, Ireland, Great Britain, France, New Zealand, Bulgaria, Romania, and Australia all propelled Filippi boats to the top, showcasing the global trust in our craft. Notably, 50.5% of the boats in this category were Filippi-made, underscoring our leadership in Junior rowing.

The penultimate day of the championships was marked by a remarkable haul of medals in the senior finals. Filippi boats secured 7 medals, including 3 golds. Victories included the Mexican lightweight men’s quad, the Romanian lightweight women’s single scull, and the Italian PR3 men’s pair.
The Under 23 category was equally successful, with Filippi boats capturing an impressive 38 medals: 12 gold, 16 silver, and 11 bronze. These results underscore the reliability and performance of our boats in the hands of the world's best young rowers.
The championships concluded with a strong showing in the Junior finals, where Filippi boats claimed 10 out of 14 gold medals. Romania led the charge with four golds, including three consecutive wins in the men’s pair, women’s pair, and women’s four, and another in the women’s single sculls. Italy matched this achievement with victories in the women’s coxed four, men’s four, and women’s quadruple sculls. Greece dominated in the men’s and women’s double sculls, while Australia added the final Filippi gold in the men’s coxed four.
In total, Filippi boats represented 44% of the entries in the Junior finals and won 71% of the gold medals available on the final day. The results across all categories are a testament to the dedication of our athletes and the quality of our boats.
